SPROCKETS
Sprockets and links, also known in the industry as gears, run between the links of an excavator or bulldozer chain. Additionally, this undercarriage component runs on bushings that connect the two links of the chain. The gears are mounted around the machine's drive gear and are only used to drive the chain, so they do not bear any of the machine's weight.
Sprockets are first molded or forged and then machined, which gives them a special heat treatment. If the steel does not contain enough carbon, it will become brittle during the hardening process. If it is only surface hardened, the sprocket or link will wear very quickly over time. Therefore, the sprocket teeth are hardened by induction hardening. The links are precision forged, finished, and hardened under special conditions.

THE ROLE OF THE EXCAVATOR SPROCKET
The sprocket is bolted to the final drive and transmits the torque generated by the reduction gear system to the rubber track.
The sprocket teeth mesh with the rubber track steel inserts, pushing the rubber track, which interacts with the ground through friction, grip, or both, trying to push the ground.
Under favorable conditions, according to Newton's third law, the ground will react with an equal and opposite force, pushing the chassis.

FORGING OF SPROCKETS
After a professional quenching and tempering process, the sprockets and tooth blocks are guaranteed to have good mechanical properties, high strength, good wear resistance, and not easy to bend and break.
Adopting advanced machining centers and vertical CNC lathes for production, high precision requirements, and strict quality management to ensure efficient and stable products.
Quenching depth: root teeth 6-10mm, top teeth 18-23mm.
SPROCKET DESIGN
* The excavator sprocket can be installed at the back or front of the crawler chassis. Generally speaking, the crawler chassis is at the back, which can reduce the length of the driving part and reduce power loss.
* But with the increase of speed, as the crawler vibrates and the belt jumps and loses more energy, the power loss of the rear sprocket becomes larger, so it is generally believed that the driving speed is less than 15-20 km/h, which is good for the rear sprocket. The crawler loader adopts the rear positioning method of the driving wheel.
SPROCKET TOOTH PROFILE REQUIREMENTS:
(1) Allow track pins to enter and exit meshing smoothly and reduce impact force on contact surfaces.
(2) Tooth surface contact stress reduces friction.
(3) When track spacing increases due to wear, track pins and sprocket teeth can still work without chaining off.

Q1. How do you ensure the parts you send are high quality?
Once we receive the raw material we will do the chemical composition testing and in production, our QC will do the random inspection of every lot of the dimensions, appearance, mechanical properties hardness, impact value, etc. To make sure every part is qualified.
Q2. What is the payment term?
Usually 50% deposit and the balance before the shipment or against the BL copy. TT, lc is welcome.
Q3. If we want to do our logo, is that acceptable?
Yes, OEM & ODM are welcome.
Q4. What's the lead time?
For the normal order, it usually takes 15-30 days after receiving the deposit as agreed.
Q5. What kind of package do you offer?
